Does Freddie Mac Own your Loan?
Call your servicer — the organization to which you make your mortgage payments — immediately if you are having difficulty paying your mortgage on time. The telephone number and mailing address of your mortgage servicer should be listed on your monthly statement. There are also a number of organizations that may be able to help you.
Your servicer should be able to tell you if your mortgage is owned by Freddie Mac. If you wish, you may conduct a search using the secured look-up tool below

Macomb County Neighborhood Stabilization Program
Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development will administer $9.8 million dollars in Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funding from the U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to stem the tide of foreclosure and abandonment in Macomb County. This program will help qualified families buy and repair foreclosed and abandoned homes in 21 communities, focusing on Center Line, Eastpointe, and Mt. Clemens, but excluding Roseville, St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights, and Warren, and Clinton Township, which have, or will shortly, receive their own grants.

City of Sterling Heights Neighborhood Stabilization Program
HUD’s new Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) provides targeted emergency assistance to state and local governments to acquire and redevelop foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within their communities. The City of Sterling Heights has been allocated $2,454,961 to address the areas of greatest need within the City.
NSP funds may be used for activities, which include, but are not limited to:
- Establish financing mechanisms for purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed homes and residential properties;
- Purchase and rehabilitate homes and residential properties abandoned or foreclosed;
- Establish land banks for foreclosed homes;
- Demolish blighted structures;
- Redevelop demolished or vacant properties
Ineligible Uses
- Foreclosure prevention activities;
- Demolition of non-blighted structures;
- Purchase of properties not abandoned or foreclosed upon;
- Cost related to correcting code violations
